6. Be prepared to tip the Sommelier. You may be going for the wine, conversation and experience but you may take home some wine knowledge as well, thanks to the Sommelier. Some tasting rooms do not accept tips, many do.
7. Be open minded. If you tried red wine years ago and think it may be too strong for you, give it a try. The reds offered at local wineries are incredible. Tastes change over the years and something you have an aversion to could become a new favorite.
